The Monolith Fire Plate - Le Chef is a massive 8 mm thick steel fire plate with a diameter of 840mm can simply be placed on top of the open Monolith LeChef grill enabling a Monolith LeChef series grill to be turned into a plancha or teppanyaki-style grill with different temperature zones with the heat being regulated by the dual-disc ventilation cap.
An initial burn-in is recommended prior to the first use as best results are achieved after oil has been burnt into the Fire Plate
